Dr. Laurie Marker, founder and executive director of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) has been vital in both research and programs for cheetahs. From humble beginnings in Namibia to now 35 years of captive and wild cheetah efforts, including raising Kangal livestock guardian dogs and collaborations with local farmers, she is part of groundbreaking and inspiring work!

La candidata di quest’anno – consegna la prossima primavera 2018 – è la Dr. Laurie Marker, fondatrice e direttore del Cheetah Conservation Fund, e la sua attività è stata decisiva sia nel campo della ricerca che dei programmi di conservazione. L’artista SARA BARUCCA dona un suo pendente realizzato per il CCF, da mettere all’asta il 1 dicembre per la Giornata Internazionale del Ghepardo, a Padenghe sul Garda.

Il pendente è realizzato in argento 925 sterling, a mano, con la tecnica orafa della microfusione a cera persa ed in cui è incastonato un cabochon di quarzo citrino. Anche la catenina è di argento 925 sterling. Ha intitolato il ciondolo “Ghepardi in Corsa”. Vi aspettiamo!
